Bathroom & Wet Room Tiling on the Wirral

Full bathroom retiles, wet rooms, shower walls and feature walls, finished neatly so they're easy to keep clean for years.

A bathroom is the room where tiling has to work hardest. It gets wet every day, it's on show every day, and any poor cut or uneven grout line is right at eye level. Dave tiles full bathrooms, wet rooms, shower enclosures and feature walls across the Wirral and Merseyside.

Most bathroom jobs start with a visit to measure up and talk through the tiles you like. Large-format porcelain, marble-effect, natural stone, mosaics and slim feature tiles all need different preparation and cutting, so it helps to settle the choice before the room is stripped out.

Wet rooms need more care than a standard bathroom. The floor has to fall gently towards the drain and the walls and floor need to be fully waterproofed before a single tile goes on. Talk through with Dave at quote stage how that will be handled in your room, especially if a plumber is fitting the drain and shower.

Customers often mention how tidy the finish is. One wet room customer in a Google review said Dave was "very punctual and clean and tidy" — and when a leak from another trade's plumbing needed tiles lifting, he came back and replaced them free of charge.

Price depends on the size of the room, how much preparation the walls and floor need, the tile size (very large and very small tiles both take longer to lay) and how many awkward cuts there are around windows, pipes and niches. Quotes are free.

Bathroom Tiling: common questions

How long does it take to tile a bathroom?

It depends on the size of the room and the tiles. A small job such as a shower wall can be finished in a day; a full bathroom with walls and floor takes longer. Dave will give you a timescale with your free quote.

Can you tile a wet room?

Yes. Dave has tiled wet rooms for customers on the Wirral. The room must be waterproofed and the floor laid to a fall before tiling, so it's worth agreeing who handles each step at quote stage.

Can I choose my own tiles?

Yes. Many customers buy their own tiles. Dave can help with grout and trim colours — one customer said he sent a colour chart and "sorted it all for us, we only needed to buy the tiles".
